I'm the World's First Rank 1 AION 2 Challenger Templar, and this is my full gear progression guide - how I push Combat Power fast and get my gear ready for Ludra. With the proper method here, in roughly 12 hours of play you can gain at least 15,000 CP (more if you are lower CP). This guide is aimed mostly at players already past 2.5K-2.6K gear score who are prepping for Ludra, but I kept it as general as possible so it helps everyone. If you want a lower-level gear guide too, let me know in the comments.

⚔️ The short version: Fund your progression by selling kinah for kuna and buying the battle pass (this works free-to-play), then run nothing but hard-mode dungeons to re-acquire the gear you missed in normal mode - hard mode has better drop rates and 1-for-1 pity. Then the real work: min-max your stats by rerolling (multiplicative stats over additive), and finally amplify everything to +17. Min-maxed stats beat higher-level gear every time.

💰 Step 1: Fund It (Kinah → Kuna → Battle Pass)

First thing, and this is for free-to-play players specifically. If you have around 10 million kinah, substance-morph it into a 10-million-kinah chest, take it to the exchange, and sell that kinah for kuna (roughly 5.9K kuna at the time of recording - prices fluctuate). Trust me, you are going to need that kuna.

💰 You do not need to spend real money. Selling kinah is the only way Sol has been getting kuna lately - no outside purchases (he bought the battle pass twice early, but now just converts in-game). The game gives you the option to convert, so buying kuna with cash is not really worth it once your character is progressing. Sol funded the battle pass on both this character and his cleric alt purely from selling kinah.
What the kuna buys you
  • Buy the battle pass (the "Prelude to Flight" pass). It pays for itself - you do not need to buy the levels, you have enough time to fill it out normally. Only buy levels if you are close to the pass ending.
  • The battle pass hands you a ton of energy, and the game is already sending energy on top. That energy is the fuel for everything in Step 2.

⚔️ Step 2: Hard-Mode Dungeons Only

With a stack of energy, you do nothing but hard-mode dungeons. This is why the guide is aimed at 2.6K+ players: the first hard mode unlocks at 2.6K gear score, the next at 2.7K. Everything gets easier in hard mode, and the efficiency jump is massive.

⚔️ Why Sol never pities in T1. He has told you this for a reason: by saving all your uniques and not pitying everything in normal mode, you can re-acquire the same gear in hard mode with far better pity. In hard mode you pity 1-for-1 instead of spending 2-for-1 or 3-for-1 and wasting uniques. Better drop rates and better pity options.
The method: replace your normal-mode misses in hard mode

Whatever gear you missed in normal-mode T1, your goal is always to get it in the next tier's hard mode instead. Running hard mode to pity, Sol was able to grab:

  • Bakarma guard from Draftnear hard mode.
  • Vakron guard from T2 hard mode.

Getting the guard twice let him roll for stats twice - that is how he landed Judgment + Status Effect Chance, and now has +20 Judgment and +20 Punishment (press K to check your skill levels). Because the guard is still getting replaced soon, he has not fully soulbound it yet.

📅 It is a rolling plan. When hard-mode Fire Temple and hard-mode Ferocious Horn release, Sol farms duplicates there for his armor. He expects the next pity tier (Fire Temple hard mode) to sit around a 2,800 CP requirement, which he will clear soon. Always be reaching for the next tier - that is the whole progression loop.

🔢 Step 3: Min-Max Your Stats (The Core)

This is the most important part of the entire guide. Min-maxed stats are more important than anything - more important than higher-level gear. Sol destroys people who have the gear but not the stats. Amplification and min-max stats beat raw item level, full stop.

🔢 The one rule that drives every reroll: multiplicative over additive. When you look at stats to roll, look for the percentage sign. A multiplicative stat (like Precision) beats its additive cousin (like Accuracy) every time - precision is multiplicative accuracy. Given the choice, always take the multiplicative version.
Reroll priority: what gets rerolled first
  1. Dead stats first. Anything useless or with no synergy (e.g. Perfect Resist, which does not stack with anything) gets rerolled before everything else.
  2. Non-multiplicative stats next. Additive stats you could upgrade to a multiplicative version (reroll Accuracy → Precision, Defense → Might/Precision on rings).
  3. Keep anything good for your build the moment you roll it - if you land Block, Might, Precision, or Crit, stop touching that piece and move to the next reroll target.
🔎 Where each stat type belongs. Rings: your multiplicative attack stats (Might, Precision) and skill levels - never defense (you get defense from armor). Accessories: multiplicative attack stats or movement speed. Armor: defensive stats like Defense Increase (gilded), Block, Status Effect Resist, plus your class's best passives.
Save your uniques - this is the whole trick

The reason Sol can reroll this aggressively is that he hoards uniques instead of burning them. Every reroll costs a unique, so the uniques you did not waste pitying in normal mode become your reroll currency now. Same idea with enhancement: when he got a new pair of Nuakum gloves, he leveled up the new pair with spare enhancement stones rather than transferring - and saved the old unique for rolling.

🔍 Piece-by-Piece Reroll Walkthrough

Here is how Sol reads each slot - the stats he keeps, the ones he rerolls, and the order. He is running a Block / Dexterity build prepping for Ludra, so he needs more accuracy (he is around 900-1,000 accuracy, ~1,400 crit, ~1,000 block unbuffed / ~1,400 buffed).

Weapon & rings
  • Weapon: Might, Multi Hit Chance, Combat Speed, Judgment. He keeps Judgment on the weapon only because he wants level 20 skills (ideally you do not want Judgment on a weapon). Reroll the Multi Hit Chance.
  • Rings: Punishment, Pummel, Defense, Crit / Block. Reroll the Defense first (rings should carry attack stats, not defense), then reroll Accuracy → Precision. Crit is higher priority to keep than accuracy, because he would rather have Precision than flat accuracy anyway.
Accessories
  • Boots: Status Effect Resist (goated), Dexterity (goated), Fury, Insulting Roar - all good, not worth rerolling right now. If one slot has Critical Damage Tolerance, reroll it (you will never stack enough of it to matter) toward Double Chance, Endurance, Attack Increase, or Weapon Damage Tolerance.
  • Cloak/Cape: he is weighing a Vakron cape with Endurance + Block (but HP and Crit Dmg Tolerance he dislikes) against his current Insulting Roar + Attack + Status Effect Resist. Endurance is rare enough that he may just send it.
  • Earrings/Necklace: amplify priority - necklace gives +133 attack, earrings +111, rings +88.
Gloves & armor
  • Gloves: Dexterity (goated), Combat Speed (goated), Critical Damage Defense + Attack. Reroll Critical Damage Defense first, then Attack - he would rather have Perfect Chance (very rare) or Defense Increase here.
  • Chest: Block, Ironclad Defense, Punishing Benediction - all great. Reroll the Enhanced Health before the Crit (he likes multiplicative HP but wants Damage Boost / Double Chance more).
  • Pants: getting good stats already (Damage Tolerance, Crit). If you have Block Pain, it is fine (gives PvP damage tolerance) but lower value - reroll it toward Attack Increase / straight Damage Tolerance when you can.
  • Helmet: Crit, Endurance, Block, Impact Hit (double chance), Incoming Healing - no dead stats, do not touch it.
  • Shoulders: Critical Damage / Damage Boost, Double Chance, Defense Increase - all goated, but because he is prepping for Ludra at 1,400 crit he needs more accuracy, so he is rerolling toward accuracy first and circling back.
⚖️ Other classes: swap in your own passives. This is a Templar's sheet, but the method generalizes. For PvP find your class's strongest defensive passive; for PvE find your strongest offensive passive, and treat those the way Sol treats Ironclad Defense / Fury / Punishing Benediction / Impact Hit. Impact Hit is great for PvX (CC chance + double chance).
🔎 Always double- and triple-check before you sync. Before transferring or rerolling, check the stats on the piece every single time - you can transfer stats between pieces, so a careless sync loses a good roll. If Sol does it, you should too. And know when to stop: once a piece has only one or two upgradeable stats left, it is usually not worth spending more uniques.

🔨 Step 4: Amplification Order

Once every piece is min-maxed, you amplify. Amplify in order of how much stat each slot gives you - biggest gains first.

The order Sol amplifies in
  1. Weapon (biggest single gain).
  2. Accessories by attack gain: Necklace (+133 attack) → Earrings (+111) → Rings (+88).
  3. Armor by defense gain: Chest (~637 defense) → Pants (~531) → Helmet → Shoulders (~477) → Gloves → Cape → Boots.
🔨 +17 for armor and accessories, +18/+19 only for weapons. Amplify levels +15 → +16 → +17 are economical (~300K kinah and ~7-8K enhancement stones per tap). After +17 it gets very expensive, so it is only worth pushing +18 / +19 on your weapon. Get everything to +17 first, then push the weapon higher.
Keep an emergency kinah floor
  • Sol crafts enhancement stones ~40 at a time (about 100K kinah worth) rather than buying amplifiers off the marketplace - he runs enough dungeons to supply his own.
  • Never drop below ~5 million kinah. Keep that as an emergency floor no matter how much energy you have to burn.
📊 Where this got him: after the full pass, Sol sat at 2,871 gear score / ~177K combat power. From here the next jumps (toward 185K-190K) come from upgrading item level - going to Nuakum, then a crafted Wise Dragon piece, and Ludra for the main-hand (the extended range), plus leveling stigmas. (Note: Ludra now has 3 stats, not the 4 it used to, so whether to take it or go crafted is a per-player call - see the updated Templar build.)
The Ludra-Prep Checklist (~15K CP in ~12 hours):
  1. Sell ~10M kinah for kuna and buy the battle pass - free-to-play friendly, pays for itself, floods you with energy.
  2. Run nothing but hard-mode dungeons (unlocks at 2.6K / 2.7K GS) - better drop rates and 1-for-1 pity.
  3. Save your uniques in normal mode so you can re-acquire misses in hard mode (Bakarma guard from Draftnear HM, Vakron guard from T2 HM).
  4. Min-max stats by rerolling - multiplicative over additive (Precision over Accuracy), reroll dead stats first, keep build stats the moment you roll them.
  5. Rings = attack stats (Might/Precision/skills), armor = defense + passives, accessories = attack or move speed.
  6. Double-check every piece before you sync - and stop rerolling a piece once only 1-2 stats are left to fix.
  7. Amplify by stat gain: weapon → necklace → earrings → rings; chest → pants → helmet → shoulders → gloves → cape → boots.
  8. +17 for armor/accessories, +18/+19 only for the weapon. Keep a 5M kinah emergency floor.
  9. Next item-level jumps: Nuakum → crafted Wise Dragon → Ludra main-hand (extended range; now 3 stats) or crafted main-hand + stigma levels.
